Cwmbran-based telecommunications provider, RPS Technology Solutions, have once again installed their services in support of appointed charity, Prostate Cymru.
RPS are Wales’ premier Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP), pioneering with hosted voice over IP telecoms solutions. In March, they announced Prostate Cymru as their chosen charity and have committed ever since to supporting them with the vital work they undertake.
Prostate Cymru are the leading charity in Wales dedicated to fighting all prostate diseases across the nation. They work tirelessly to raise awareness, promote understanding, and fund both the latest medical equipment and training of healthcare professionals.
RPS have a commitment to aiding Prostate Cymru, having previously assisted by installing their telecommunication solutions to the charity’s office in Cardiff. In addition to pledging to complete a handful of fundraising activities for the charity, from Cardiff 10k to the Cardiff Half Marathon.
Through the continued support received through public donation, Prostate Cymru are set to supply a nurse on hand to assist via a telephone helpline, providing invaluable expert advice, along with a listening ear to those in need. It’s set to be a free phone number that will be manned by specialist nurse, Gaynor Newton. Keen to further their support for the charity, RPS have pledged to once again donate their time and services to install the solution. They have provided a freephone telephone number and have installed their RPS Communicator app onto a mobile phone for Prostate Cymru to receive calls.
The helpline is set to provide an invaluable service to men across Wales, giving them expert advice and support. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Welsh men, affecting 1 in 8, with the risk increasing to 1 in 3 if there is family history of the disease. The helpline will prove excellent at assisting men across the nation, allowing them to consult a nurse during the diagnosis process and after receiving treatment.
