2023 In Review: RPS Telecom
What a year 2023 has been! Proudly standing as an independent provider, we’ve been navigating the dynamic landscape of business communications solutions with a commitment to prioritising not just our clients’ needs but the well-being of our incredible team. Let’s take a look at the triumphs, the trends and team highlights that defined our year.
Expanding Horizons in Key Sectors
Despite the challenges, 2023 presented numerous opportunities. Reliable business phone systems and high-speed broadband have never been more essential for companies and organisations. We have continued to expand our customer base, particularly in key sectors such as financial services, property, healthcare, education, travel and hospitality, manufacturing, and logistics. As a result, we’ve positioned ourselves as a preferred choice for businesses seeking communication solutions aligned with their ambitions and growth strategies. Find out more here.
Trends We’ve Identified: Hybrid Working Takes the Lead
Demand for our hybrid working solutions remain in the lead and we anticipate this will continue to surge as more businesses opt to migrate to hosted telephony solutions, particularly with the Big Switch-Off date looming.
One of our most popular solutions this year has been TeamsTalk. By integrating TeamsTalk into your ongoing Microsoft 365 account, you’ll benefit from a single solution for both voice and video calls. No matter where you are or what device you’re using, you can make low cost calls to any number in the world. There is no onsite hardware needed, and set-up is simple!

Our Team’s Standout Moments
As we bid farewell to 2023, we asked the team to share the highlights that truly defined this exceptional year for RPS Telecom.
New Faces, New Spaces: We warmly welcomed a host of new customers and Nathan, our fantastic Account Manager, while also relocating our office.
Championing Great Causes: From attending Prostate Cymru charity dinners to joining The Big Walk annual event and hosting our own Big Breakfast fundraiser. Together, these initiatives enabled us to raise over £1000 for the charity. We also supported our valued customer, Phil Bessant with his fundraising events in aid of St David’s Hospice Care, Phil and his team do incredible work and have raised over £82,000 for the organisation to date.
Networking: Actively engaging at events across the UK, we met lots of fantastic new connections. This included our involvement in the Women in Telecoms community, launched by Comms Council UK to offer women in our industry a regular opportunity to network, share career experiences, discuss hot topics and exchange ideas. The best part about this is the group has led to our team forming new friendships and alliances.
Proud Partners of Zen: We have been attending Zen Partner events for over 10 years now. It is a great opportunity to get together with companies in our industry and see how Zen is driving forward with the latest initiatives and technologies. A stand out favourite was the Zen Internet 2023 Partner Conference! We were proud winners in 2022 and it was great to applaud other companies who share the same values as us in prioritising their customers, team and suppliers in all endeavours!
Welcoming Back Natalie: Our General Manager, Natalie, returned from maternity leave, bringing her valuable expertise back to the team. Natalie’s little boy Osian was born on 28th November and she took a well earned few months off to enjoy time with him and his older brother William.
Work Hard, Play Harder: To celebrate our achievements, the team gathered at our Christmas party. We also closed our offices for the first time ever during the Christmas period so our team could enjoy a well earned rest to celebrate the festive holidays with their loved ones!
Onward and upward in 2024! 🚀
